School Insurance of Florida has provided student accident insurance for Florida school students for over 30 years.

School Insurance of Florida provides school districts with custom designed student protection programs based on the needs of parents and kids in the community. Our goal is to offer protection at an affordable cost level, provide prompt, courteous claims service and minimize the administrative involvement on the part of the school. Our full service claims and administrative offices are centrally located in Orlando.

All Florida schools are very interested in maintaining a safe environment for students while providing students with the educational and recreational activities that they need and deserve. School accidents are generally not the fault of the school. However, accidents during school recess, sports, physical education and other school activities happen everyday.

Florida schools cannot assume financial responsibility for school related accidents or any expenses not covered by insurance. However, as a public service to the school community, many Florida School Districts make available low cost student insurance protection.

The Florida School Districts that have arranged to offer student accident insurance through School Insurance of Florida are listed on this website.  To be eligible for coverage, students must be enrolled as fulltime students in the participating Florida Schools listed on this website.  To learn more about the protection plan offered in your school district, please click on the name of your school district from the listing of participating schools.

The School Insurance of Florida insurance plans have coverage benefits and limitations. The policies may not pay 100% for all doctor and hospital expenses.The purpose of this website is to provide a summary of the benefits and limitations available from the School Insurance of Florida policies available to students in participating Florida schools.
